Immersed In Surrealism and all the wrong colors –

Le Havre

Photography of hills and a stone building in Brittany. The colors of the photography are reversed: the hills are strong purple, the sky appears turquoise.

A bit like a LSD trip…

When we developed and scanned the rolls from Le Havre ALL of the colors where oddly off. That was to be expected from the Lomochrome Purple but surprisingly the Kodak Provia from the other Mamiya C220 we were using that day was equally off.

In retrospect it all made sense: the visit of Le Havre after all the picturesque villages and and cities along the Cote Fleurie was surreal.

We went there at a sunday, the City was empty.

After several rolls of film that turned out a bit uninspired – if not downright frustrating – one very special hour on this surfers beach in brittany made it all up for us.
